camron - Kwame Alexander Crossover The story Crossover is a book about a kid named Jb who had confidence of a superstar NBA basketball player and good guy when it comes to handles. He goes through a lot with his life with basketball, girls, and family and his loving of his team and coach Kwame Alexander is guy who inspire kids of making and reading books at their level. made many books like acoustic rooster and indigo blume. He has recorded CD’s and published the CD’s and he has preformed schools. he loves and cares for kids and their communities The character that I relate to is Jb because are basketball skills are alike and our lack of homework for girls is something that i would have done in the real world and his love for his game is the same The POV of the story is third person and a little of first person because when he is in his game mode they describe him his third person and first person because through his normal life he says word like I in his poetry I personally would give this book 5 stars because of his good wording and his style of his words and also the way he makes the character that relates to me (Jb) is absolutely fantastic I think the THEME or the moral of the story is to focus on what your goal is in life because a lot of stuff like girls and parties and lack of homework and really bring your skills of life down.

HTML:
Starred review from January 20, 2014
Josh Bell, known on and off the court by the nickname Filthy McNasty, doesn’t lack self-confidence, but neither does he lack the skills to back up his own mental in-game commentary: “I rise like a Learjet—/ seventh-graders aren’t supposed to dunk./ But guess what?/ I snatch the ball out of the air and/ SLAM!/ YAM! IN YOUR MUG!” Josh is sure that he and his twin brother, JB, are going pro, following in the footsteps of their father, who played professional ball in Europe. But Alexander (He Said, She Said) drops hints that Josh’s trajectory may be headed back toward Earth: his relationship with JB is strained by a new girl at school, and the boys’ father health is in increasingly shaky territory. The poems dodge and weave with the speed of a point guard driving for the basket, mixing basketball action with vocabulary-themed poems, newspaper clippings, and Josh’s sincere first-person accounts that swing from moments of swagger-worthy triumph to profound pain. This verse novel delivers a real emotional punch before the final buzzer. Ages 9–12. Agent: East West Literary Agency.
.
